SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
shall be so construed as to confer any banking privileges
on the corporation herein incorporated, nor to authorise the
said corporation to issue or put, or cause to be put in cir-
culation, any negotiable note or notes payable to bearer, or
notes in the nature of bank notes.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall conti-
nue and remain in full force, until the year eighteen hundred.

An act to make valid the official Bond of James Polk, Re-
gister of Wills of Somerset County, and for other pur-
poses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the official bond executed by James
Polk, as Register of Wills of Somerset county, on the
twenty-ninth day of November, in the year of our Lord
eighteen hundred and forty two, and approved by the Or-
phans' Court of said County, be and the same is hereby de-
clared and made as good and valid in law, as if it had been
executed in conformity to law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said bonds so as
aforesaid executed and approved, shall have the same ef-
fect in law, as if the same had been duly executed and ap-
proved in pursuance of the act of December session, eigh-
teen hundred and forty, chapter fifty-two.
