CHAPTER 46.

CHAP. 48.

An act for the appointment of Commissioners, to designate
a place of election, in the fourth, election district, in Carroll
County.

Passed Feb.
7, 1843.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Thomas S. Brown, John Flatter, and George Williams,
or any two of them, are hereby appointed commissioners,
to designate and determine upon a suitable house, for hold-
ing all elections, in said fourth election district, and the
above named commissioners, or any two of them, are here-
by required, to report to the clerk of Carroll County, the
place designated, on or before the first day of July next, to
be recorded in the office of said clerk.

CHAPTER 47.

 

An act supplementary to an act, vesting certain powers, in
Baltimore County Court, passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and thirty three.

Passed Jan.
31, 1843.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Baltimore County Court, be, and it is hereby author-
ised, anterior to each term of the said court, for the trans-
action of county business, if in the opinion of the Judges there-
of, the state of the city business should require it, to order
to be summoned from the city, a jury, and to assign one of
the judges of said court, to try before said jury, cases on
the city docket, during the silting of the court, for the trial
of County business, and it shall be the duty of said Judge,
when he shall be thus assigned, to proceed with the said
city docket, and to the trial of cases thereon, in the same
manner, as if the Court were not in session, for county
business.

CHAPTER 48.

 

An act granting further time to Benjamin T. Pindle, Collec-
tor of the County charges, for the first Collection District
of Anne Arundel County, to complete his collections.

Passed Jan.
31, 1843.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Benjamin T. Pindle, collector of the coun-
ty taxes, for Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for the first
