CHAP. 45.

respectively continue and he in full force until the time
specified in their constitution for the next election of offi-
cers, or until they shall be removed from office in accor-
dance with the provisions of the constitution

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act be so
construed as to authorise the said corporation to issue any
note, token, device, scrip or other evidence of debt, to be
used as currency.

Rights reser-

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act of incorporation
shall enure for thirty years from its passage, and the legis-
lature reserves the right to alter or annul this act of incor-
poration at pleasure.

 

CHAPTER 44.

An act to provide for the extension of the charter of the Fred-
ericktown Havings Institution.

Charter ex-
tended.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the charter of the Fredericktown Savings
Institution, be, and the same is hereby extended, to the year
eighteen hundred and sixty, and to the end of the next ses-

sion of General Assembly thereafter; provided, that nothing
in the said charter shall be so construed as to authorise the
aforesaid institution to issue any note, token, device, or
other evidence of debt, to he used as a currency.

served to the Legislature to change, alter, or annul, the
said charter at pleasure.

An act to repeal an act entitled, an act to preserve the breed of
Fish, in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, and for other
purposes.

Repealed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act entitled, an act to preserve the breed of fish
in the waters of Chesapeake bay, and other purposes,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
one, chapter, two hundred and eighty-six, be, and the same
is hereby repealed.
