CHAP. 28.
|
A supplement to an act entitled, An act regulating writs of
error and granting appeals to the Court of Appeals.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That on any appeal being entered in any or-
phans court of this state from any judgment, order or de-
cree therein, it shall be the duty of the Register of such
court to make out and transmit to the Court of Appeals of
the Western or Eastern Shore as the case may be, to which
such appeal may be made, a full transcript or record of the
whole proceedings of the court in such action or other pro-
ceedings under the hand of the Register, and the seal of the
court, within sixty days after the appeal, or to the next
Court of Appeals of the Western or Eastern Shore as the
case may be, after said appeal is entered, and upon the re-
ceipt of such transcript by the clerk of the Court of Ap-
peals, he shall enter the case upon the docket of this court
as of the term next after the date of said appeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That no appeal from the or-
phans courts of this state shall be dismissed by the said
court of appeals; provided, the record of the proceedings
as mentioned in the aforegoing section is filed in the said
court of appeals within sixty days from the time of the
appeal entered, or before the sitting of the next court of
appeals after said appeals is entered.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the provisions of the
preceding sections shall lake effect from the dale of this
law, and shall apply to cases now depending in the said
court of appeals as well as to those which may hereafter
arise.

An act to incorporate the German Washington Beneficial
Society of Fells Point and State of Maryland.
|

WHEREAS John Kepler, John Eichom, John Sommer,
Lewis Frankerberger, Francis Kenty, Kennard Denerlein,
John Rufner, Augustus Meltzbacker, and others have
formed themselves into a society for the laudable purpose
of affording relief to each other, and their respective fam-
ilies in the event of sickness, distress and death, and have
prayed an act of incorporation that they may better execute
