CHAP. 178.

point three commissioners to view and examine the ground,
and fix upon the proper site or situation for building said
bridge, and to make condemnation of lands for the same,
and also for the necessary road in order to pass to and from
said bridge, should a departure from the bed of the old road
become necessary, by reason of fixing on some other situa-
tion than where the present public road crosses said creek.

Levy court to
contract, &c.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Levy Court,
be and they are hereby authorized to contract with any
person or persons to build said bridge, and are required to
take bond or bonds with sufficient security from any con-
tractor or contractors, for the faithful performance of the
contract.

 

CHAPTER 178.

3, 1843.

An act for the relief of the heirs of J. A. D. Dalrymple
and others.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this general assembly, by
the petition of Jesse J. Dalrymple, administrator of J. A.
D. Dalrymple, deceased, and many property-holders of
Calvert county, that since the year eighteen hundred and thirty
seven, that the said James A. D. Dalrymple has performed
certain services imposed on him by the act of December
session eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, chapter thirty-
five, without any compensation, and have recommended
that he be paid for said services out of the school funds of
said county — therefore,

Orphans'
court to J. J.
Dalrymple.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Orphan's Court of Calvert county be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay out of
the school fund of said county to Jesse J. Dalrymple, admin-
istrator of James A. D. Dalrymple, the sum of two hundred
dollars, in full compensation for all services performed by
the said J. A. D. Dalrymple, under the said act.

Annual al-
lowance.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Register of Wills
of said county shall be hereafter entitled to, and the said
Orphan's Court are hereby required and directed to pay
out of said fund, an annual allowance of forty dollars for
services to be rendered under said act.
