1841.

founded and maintained on a liberal plan for the benefit of
youths of every denomination, who shall be admitted to equal
privileges and advantages of education, without enforcing
any religious test.

CHAP. 10.

Equal privileges

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the trustee shall have the
privilege of holding any lawful or orderly meeting in any
house belonging to said association, or permitting the same

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act be con-
strued so as to authorize the said corporation issue any
note, token, device, scrip or other evidence of debt, to be

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That this act of incorporation
shall enure for thirty years from its passage, and that the
legislature reserves to itself the right to alter or annul this
act of incorporation at pleasure.

CHAPTER 9.

 

An tat to authorize the sale of a School House, in School
District number twenty-six, in Frederick County.

Passed Jan. 14,
1842.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Cornelius Staley, David Kemp and Moses Staley, or a ma-
jority of them, be, and they are hereby authorised and em-
powered to sell and convey a school house in District num-
ber twenty-six, being one of the Primary School Districts,
in Frederick county, to be sold in such manner and upon
such terms as they, the said Cornelius Staley, David Kemp
and Moses Staley, or a majority of them, shall think best;

and it shall be their duty to apply the proceeds arising from
the sale of said school house to the school funds of district
number twenty-six.

CHAPTER 10.

 

A bill entitled, an act to confirm and make valid a deed of
conveyance from Sarah Flenner and James L. Montgo-
mery, to Andrew Miller, of Allegany County.

Passed Jan. 14,
1842.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the clerk of Allegany county, is hereby authorised to re-
cord amongst the land records of Allegany county, in the
State of Maryland, a certain deed of conveyance from
