CHAP. 82.

committee of three, and a messenger, who shall be elected
within the month January next, and annually thereafter; and
until said election, the affairs of said society shall be con-
ducted by the present officers.

Dissolution.
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That if at any time it shall
be deemed necessary to dissolve this society, a proposition
to that effect shall be laid on the table in writing at a staled
meeting of the society, and may be discussed at the next
stated meeting of the society, but shall not be finally decid-
ed on until it shall have been two full months before the so-
ciety, and shall not take effect unless three fourths of the
members residing in the city of Baltimore are in favor

thereof; provided nevertheless, no such dissolution shall
operate to impair or invalidate any contract before that time
made, or to effect any suit then instituted, or to be instituted,
or to be instituted by or against such corporation.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall
be so construed as to authorize the said company to issue
or put in circulation any negotiable note, or notes payable
to bearer, or notes in the nature of a bank note, or any
token, device, scrip, or other evidence of debt, to be used
as currency.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall be and re-
main in full force until the year eighteen hundred and sixty,
and to the end of the General Assembly that shall happen
thereafter, or until the society is dissolved by its own act,

or its charter revoked by the legislature of the Slate of
Maryland, which right of revocation is hereby reserved to
said legislature.

An act to alter and change the division line between the first
and fourth Election Districts, of Allegany County.
|
Lines altered.
|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the division line between the first and
fourth election districts, of Allegany county, shall from and
after the passage of this act be as follows, viz: to commence
at the present place where the said line crosses the State
road, west of George Smarrs farm, and running with the
said State road to the fording of Folly Run, and from thence
down with the meanderings of said run to its junction at
the north branch of the Potomac river, near where William
McRobec now lives.
