CHAP, 57.

An act further to extend the time allowed Samuel Fowler,
former Sheriff of Prince George's County, to complete
his collections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act of December session, eighteen hundred and
forty, chapter one hundred and fifty, allowing Samuel Fow-
ler, former sheriff of Prince George's county, further time
to complete collections, be and the same is hereby extended
to January, eighteen hundred and forty-three.

CHAPTER 56.

 

An act relating to out Pensioners, in Prince George's Coun-
ty.

2, 1842.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That no person shall be placed on the list of out
pensioners in Prince George's county, who is able to obtain
a livelihood by application to any honest and lawful employ-
ment, or who has not for two years immediately preceding
his or her application, been a resident of the county afore-
said, or who is in the habit of debasing himself or herself

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court of the said
county shall carefully examine and revise the list of out pen-
sioners, and discontinue all whose cases do not come within
the provisions of the preceding section.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That every person shall have
the right to petition the levy court, to be placed on the said
list, and it shall be their duty to examine his or her applica-
tion, according to the provisions of this law.

An act to divorce Sarah Elliott, of the City of Baltimore,
from her husband Grafton W. Elliott.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sarah Elliott be, and she is hereby divorced from her
husband Grafton W. Elliott, a vinculo matrinmonii.
