No. 32.
Resolution in favor of John T. Edwards.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the western shore pay to John T. Edwards,
sixty-five dollars, being the amount of his claim for provi-
sions furnished to the troops engaged in suppressing the
riots on the line of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal in Sep-
tember eighteen hundred and thirty-nine.

No. 33.
Resolution in favor of the securities of John C. Handy, de-
ceased.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the securities of John C. Handy, deceased, late clerk of
Worcester county, be and they are hereby released from
the payment of the interest on the State's claim against them,
as securities aforesaid; provided, they shall pay into the
treasury of the State, the principal of the said claim, within
three months after the passage of this resolution.

Resolution in relation to the pay of subscription to News-
papers, &c.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the western shore pay to John Nick Wat-
kins chief clerk of the. house of delegates, and Joseph H.
Nicholson chief clerk of the senate, out of any unappro-
priated money in the treasury, the amount of the several ac-
counts that may from time to time be presented to him by
said clerks for newspapers furnished the members of the
legislature during the present session, and that he also pay
the account for postage upon letters forwarded and received
by said clerks relative to the duties of their respective of-
fices.
