who are the present holders thereof; what amount of said
subscriptions has been paid in, and by whom paid; what
sum, if any, has been collected from subscribers to stock
who failed to pay according to the provisions of said ori-
ginal act, and what amount of money or other valuable has
been received by said company from tolls and all other sour-
ces; and also showing what sum was expended in the con-
struction of said road, and to whom paid; the number, names
and style of the officers, and their yearly salaries respec-
tively; and all other expenses of the company; and the said
President, Directors and Managers shall have the said state-
ment inserted once a week for three successive weeks, prior
to the tenth day of May, eighteen hundred and forty-two,
in two of the newspapers published in Hagerstown, Mary-
land, and one of the daily papers in the city of Baltimore.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That said statement shall be
verified by the affidavit of the secretary, taken before some
justice of the peace in and for Washington county, that the
same is a full and true statement as appeal's upon the books
of said company, and said affidavit shall be published with
the statement.

Sec. 3. And he it enacted, That annually hereafter, be-
tween first of March and the tenth day of May, the president
and managers aforesaid, shall publish as aforesaid, a state-
ment, verified by the affidavit of the secretary, of all the
. receipts and disbursements of the said company, between
the date of the last published statement and the date of the
one then made; and also of the annual dividend of said com-
pany.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That all the jurisdiction ves-
ted in the treasurer of the western shore, as a court of in-
spection of the original act to which this is a supplement,
shall be hereafter vested in Washington county court, sub-
ject to appeal to the court of appeals, as other cases; and
that said Washington county court, as a court of equity,
upon the will or petition of any stockholder of said com-
pany, shall have the same proceedings as in other cases in
equity, to compel the president and managers of said com-
pany, or any other officer thereof, to disclose and set forth
all or any of the transactions of said company, and make
such decree as may be necessary, to do justice to the com-
plainant or petitioner.

given.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That hereafter, notice shall be
given of the time and place of the annual election for offi-
cers of said company, by public advertisement insetted in
one of the newspapers printed in Hagerstown, and one in
the city of Baltimore, for three successive weeks prior to
