1841.

ceeding three thousand dollars, and personal estate not ex-
ceeding three thousand dollars, which estate shall never be
divided among the members of the corporation, but shall
descend to their successors, subject to the payment of the

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That Thomas Rizer, shall
have the power to call the first meeting of said corporation
by appointing a time and place therefor, and giving written
notice thereof to the other persons named and incorporated
by this act, at least three days before such time of meeting.

not be permitted to issue negotiable note or notes, in the
form of bank notes.

CHAPTER 243.

 

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to provide more ef-
fectually, for the destruction of Wolves, Panthers, and
Foxes, in Allegany County, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and forty, chapter fifty-six.

19, 1842.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
every person who shall kill or destroy any wild cat, within
the limits of Allegany county, shall be entitled to an allow-
ance from said county, of one dollar and fifty cents for eve-
ry wild cat so killed or destroyed.

One dollar al-
lowed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That upon the production of
a certificate of a justice of the peace, as is required by the
second section of the act to which this act is a supplement,
the commissioners of Allegany county, be and they are
hereby authorised and required, to levy upon the assessable
property of said county the above mentioned allowance of
one dollar and fifty cents, for every wild cat so killed and
destroyed, for the use of the person producing the same.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That in order to obtain such
an allowance, the person killing or destroying any wild cat,
shall in every respect comply with the second section of
the act to which this act is a supplement
