CHAP. 22.

CHAPTER 20.

Passed Jan.
20, 1842.

An act to repeal an act entitled, an additional supplement to
an act, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
twenty-six, chapter two hundred and seventeen, providing
for the election of Commissioners of Baltimore County,
and prescribing their powers and duties.

Repealed.

Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the act passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-nine, chapter fifty, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

 

CHAPTER 21.

Passed Jan.
20, 1842.

An act to authorize the several Collectors of Taxes in Bal-
timore County, to complete their collections.

Time extend-
ed to com-
plete their
collections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Peter W. Gibbins, John W. Shanklin, Nicholas Gatch,
William Frush, Joseph Walker collectors, and Charles
Jessop and Elijah Taylor late collectors of taxes in the se-
veral collection districts of Baltimore county, for which they
have been appointed, be and they are hereby allowed the
further time of two years from the passage of this act, to
complete their collections; and they are also authorized and
empowered to collect any taxes, or balance of taxes now
remaining due to and uncollected by them, in their respec-
tive districts, for which they have been heretofore appoint-
ed collectors as aforesaid, in the same manner, and with the
same powers and privileges as are allowed by the existing
laws, in such case made and provided; any law, custom or
usage to the contrary notwithstanding.

 

CHAPTER 22.

20, 1842.

An act entitled, an act to make valid a certain Deed.

Deed made
valid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a certain deed bearing date the thirteenth day of May,
eighteen hundred and forty, between Jasper Peddicord of
Belmont county in the State of Ohio, and Amelia Peddicord,
his wife, of the first part; Wilson L. Peddicord of the same
place, and Kitty Peddicord, his wife, of the second part; and
