1841.

in law, to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer
and be answered unto, defend and be defended, in all or
any courts of justice, and before all or any judges, officers,
or persons whatsoever, in all and singular actions matters
or demands whatsoever.

CHAP. 166.

Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That the said corporation shall
have power to hold stated meetings, to establish and put in
execution, alter or abolish such by-laws, rules and regula-
tions as to them shall seem most conducive to the interests

Sec. 4. Be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall be
so construed as to authorize the said corporation to issue
any note, token, device, or other evidence of debt to be

ly reserved to the legislature at its pleasure, to amend or
annul this act of incorporation.

An act for the relief of Penelope D. Goodwin, of Balti-
more County.

Passed March
1, 1842.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Baltimore county court is hereby authorized and requir-
ed to set aside the inquisition fund, for the Baltimore and Sus-
quehannah Rail Road Company, condemning the lands of
Penelope D. Goodwin of said county, and that said court
direct an inquisition de novo to be taken, and that such pro-
ceedings be had as in cases where inquisitions in similar
cases are set aside by the court.

An act to divorce Sarah A. Dove, of Prince George's
County, from her husband William Dove.

1, 1842.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sarah A. Dove, he and she is hereby di-
vorced from her husband William Dove, a vinculo matri-
monii.
