Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this act of corporation
shall inure for thirty years from its passage.
Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the legislature reserves

CHAPTER 16.

 

A bill entitled, an act to authorize John Spear, late collector
of the second collection district of Anne Arundel Coun-
ty, further time to complete his collections.

1842.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John Spear, late collector of the second
collection district, of Anne Arundel county, be, and he is
hereby authorized and empowered to collect any tax or
balance of taxes, now remaining due to, and uncollected by
him in the second collection district aforesaid, in the same
manner as he could, or might have done, within the time
limited by law.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said John Spear,
shall in every instance, before he shall proceed to the afore-
said collection, make affidavit before some justice of the
peace for Anne Arundel county, that the same remains un-
paid, and that he hath not received any part thereof, more
than the credits allowed thereon.
Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That this law shall not be in force
longer than one year from the passage thereof.

An act to authorize Benjamin T. Pindell, collector of the
first collection district of Anne Arundel County, to com-
plete his collections of County Taxes, in said district.

1842.

Section I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Benjamin T. Pindell, collector of the first
collection district of Anne Arundel county, be, and he is
hereby authorized and empowered to collect any taxes, or
balance of taxes now remaining due to, and uncollected by
him in the district aforesaid, in the same manner, and with
the same power and privileges as arc allowed by the exist-
ing laws in said cases, made and provided.
