COMMISSIONER OF LOANS — Authorised to borrow, for

the use of the State, at a rate of interest not

exceeding six per cent., &c. not exceeding

$500, 000, payable 12 months after date, of each

loan, out of the proceeds of the tax, &c.

If any of the banks whereof the State is a

stockholder, shall purchase the stock thereof,

upon such terms as the Treasurer may approve,

and comply with the said terms, the right of the

State to appoint directors to cease,
