CHAP. 34.

Where judg-
ments have been
rendered, single
justice to issue.

directions prescribed by the preceding section of this act,
as to the dockets returned by said judges.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That in all cases where judg-
ments may have been rendered by said courts, a single jus-
tice shall issue upon the same, when required, just as the
magistrates' courts could have done prior to this act, and
be governed by the same rules that governed them; and it
shall be the duty of the clerk to furnish a copy of any judg-
ments necessary to be issued upon, when required so to do.

Right to appeal.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That upon all judgments that
may be rendered by said magistrates' courts, prior to this
law going into effect, the right of appeal shall be secured
to either party, according to the provisions of the act of
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, and the several supple-
ments thereto, establishing magistrates' courts in the seve-
ral counties of this State.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act [ ] in some
newspaper in Montgomery county, for two successive
weeks, before the first of July.

CHAPTER 34.

Passed April 6,
1841.

A further supplement to an act, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, chapter twen-
ty-one, entitled an act to abolish the Levy Court of
Anne Arundel County, and for other purposes.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, since the passage of the original supplement
of the act of Assembly, to the act to which this is a fur-
ther supplement, an additional election district has been
laid off in Anne Arundel county, and no provision has
been made for the election of a commissioner for said
election district — therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
at the next October election, the voters of the several dis-
tricts of Anne Arundel county, belonging to districts num-
ber one, two. three, four, seven and eight, shall elect one
person, a resident of the eighth district of Anne Arundel
county, and who shall have the same qualifications as are

continue in office until the year eighteen hundred and forty-
four, and the said commissioner shall have the same pow-
ers, and perform the same duties as are or may be required
