LAWS OF MARYLAND.

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun
and held at the City of Annapolis, on the last Monday
of December, being the twenty-eighth day of said month,
in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and
forty, and ended the tenth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and forty-one.

HIS EXCELLENCY,

WILLIAM GRASON, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR,

THE FOLLOWING LAWS WERE ENACTED, TO WIT:

1840.

CHAPTER 1.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to incorporate the
Trustees of Union Town Academy, in Carroll County.

CHAP. 1.

Passed Jan. 1.
1841.

WHEREAS, by the second section of an act, entitled an
act to incorporate the trustees of Uniontown academy, pas-
sed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight
chapter two hundred and forty-three, it was required that
an election should be held on the first day of January, of
each and every year thereafter, for trustees; and whereas,
the requirements of said sections were not complied with
therefore,
