CHAP. 176.

her or their representatives, against whom any such fee
taxes or levies may have been rendered, will make oath or
affirmation before a justice of the peace, that the same has
been paid or satisfied, then the aforegoing benefits of this
act shall not extend to such case or cases.

To allow cred-
its, set-offs, &c.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the parties shall be en-
titled under this act, to all credits, set-offs and discounts
that they would have been entitled to, during the term of
said sheriffs and collectors.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
in force after the first clay of March, eighteen hundred and
forty-three.

CHAPTER 175.

An act to make valid a Deed of Partition between Zadock
Robinson, and others, of Prince George's County.

Deed made va-
lid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a deed of partition, executed on the twentieth day of
January, eighteen hundred and forty, between Zadock Ro-
binson, Eleanor P. Robinson, Alfred Y. Robinson, Alexander
Robinson and Townley K. Robey, of Prince George's county,
of a tract or parcel of land lying in Charles county, called Tim-
berlane, be and the same is hereby made valid and effectual in
all respects, to vest the said real estate in the parties to the
said deed, in the respective proportions mentioned therein,
as fully as if the executors of John Robinson had been par-
ties thereto; provided, the same shall be recorded as requir-
ed by law.

CHAPTER 176.

Passed Mar. 3,
1841.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to incorporate the
Carroll County Lyceum, in Westminster.

Repeal of part
of 2d sect. ori-
ginal act.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That so much of the second section of this act, to which
this is a supplement, as require that two hundred and fifty
shares shall be subscribed, before the first election of
directors of the corporation thereby made, be and the
