CHAP. 161.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all that portion of dis-
trict number seven hereby cut off, shall henceforth consti-
tute and form a part of election district number six; and
the commissioners of said county are hereby required to
publish this act for at least three weeks before the next
election for delegates to the General Assembly, in all the
papers printed in said county, at the expense of said coun-
ty.

An act to lay off a new Primary School District in Anne
Arundel County.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a part of Primary School Districts, num-
ber ten, twenty and twenty-three, embraced within the lines
hereinafter described, shall be and is hereby created and

constituted a new Primary School District, to wit: begin-
ning for the same at Severn Run, where the Baltimore and
Annapolis road crosses said run, running thence with the
lines of Primary School District, number twelve, and thence
with said road until it reaches the line of John Sewall's
land, then running and binding on said line, until it intersects
the line of Benjamin E. Gantt's farm, then running with
said line to the Elk Ridge road, then down said road by
the stone bridge, under the Annapolis and Elk Ridge rail
road, then by the old Severn chapel, through the farm of
the late John Hammond, then running so as to include the
forms of Philip H. Mewburn, Mrs. Julian Hammond,
George W. Hammond, Caleb Sappington, Richard Brown
and James Webb, and thence to the nearest point on Se-
vern run, and thence downsaid Severn run to the beginning.

Described.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the trustees of said dis-
trict, number forty-eight, to be appointed at a general
meeting of the taxable inhabitants thereof, shall be and they
are hereby authorised to impose a tax on the property hol-
ders within said district, for the purpose of erecting a suita-
ble school house, and for the support of said school, accor-
ding to the act of December session, eighteen hundred and
twenty-eight, chapter one hundred and sixty-eight, and the
implements thereto.
