CHAPTER 17.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to authorise the
Commissioners of Cecil County to levy a sum of money
to re-build a Bridge over Octoraro Creek, in Cecil Coun-
ty, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty eight, chapter two hundred.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears by petition of the commissioners
appointed to contract for, superintend and direct the build-
ing of a bridge over the Octoraro creek, at Porter's Cros-
sing, in Cecil county, that the levy authorised to defray the
cost and charge of re-building said bridge, was insufficient
therefore,

Levy authorised.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Cecil county, be and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to levy, at their discre-
tion, the sum of five hundred dollars, on the assessable pro-
perty of said county, at their next annual levy, for the use
of said commissioners, in full liquidation of the cost and
charge of re-building said bridge.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to authorise the
Commissioners of Cecil County, to levy a sum of money
to repair a Bridge over Octoraro Creek, in Cecil Coun-
ty, passed December session, eighteen hundred and thir-
ty-night, chapter two hundred and fifty-five.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears by petition of the commissioners
appointed to contract for, superintend and direct the repairs
of a bridge over the Octoraro creek, at Rawlandsville, in
Cecil county, that the levy authorised to defray the cost
and charge of repairing said bridge, was insufficient —
therefore,

Levy authorised.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Cecil county be and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to levy, at their discre-
tion, the sum of two hundred and twenty-one dollars, on
the assessable property of said county, at their next annual
levy, for the use of said commissioners, in full liquidation
of the cost and charge of repairing said bridge.
