tavern, ) may, at the proper cost and charges of the said
Caroline M. Morris, her heirs and assigns, and by and with
the consent of the president and managers of the said
Washington and Baltimore turnpike road, make such al-
terations in the route of the said turnpike, and within the
limits of the said Waterloo farm, at such times and in such
manner as may be mutually agreed on by and between the
said Caroline M. Morris and the said president and mana-
gers; and that whenever such alterations shall and may be
completed, that then the parts of the said road so to be
constructed, shall be taken as parts and parcel of the Wash-

ington and Baltimore turnpike road aforesaid; and the said;
president and managers shall and may exercise all and sin-
gular the powers, authority and jurisdiction over the parts
of said road so to be constructed, which they now possess,
and shall be subject to all the penalties to which they are
now liable under and by virtue of the act to which this is
a supplement; and all such parts and parcels of the said
turnpike road as may be so supplied, shall and may be va-
cated, and the same be enclosed by the said Caroline M.
Morris, any thing in the act to which this is a supplement,
to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 141.

Jurisdiction re-
served.

A supplement to the act, entitled an act authorising the
Levy Court of Frederick County, in their discretion, to
levy a sum of money to build a Bridge over Fishing
Creek, at or near Lewistown, on the road leading from
Mechanicstown to Frederick.

Passed Feb. 26,
1841.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the judges of the levy court of Frederick county be
and they are hereby authorised and empowered, in their
discretion, to levy a sum of money, in addition to the sum
already authorised by the original act to which this is a
supplement, not exceeding five hundred dollars, on the as-
sessable in said county, in two equal annual instalments, for
the purpose of building said bridge specified in said ori-
ginal act.
