CHAP. 121

which have not been collected, in the same manner as he
could or might have done within the time limited by law.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Benjamin Silver,
before he proceed to execute the property of any person
for persons for said taxes or public dues, with the interest
thereon, by the authority of this act, shall deliver, or cause
to be delivered to such person or persons chargeable with
the same, or leave at his or her last place of abode, a par-
ticular account of the species and amount of property with
which such person or persons is assessed, the rate of tax
imposed thereon, and the amount of such tax, with an affi-
davit annexed thereto that he hath not, nor has any person
for his use, received any part thereof, or any satisfaction
for the same, to the best of his knowledge; provided, that
no person shall be required to pay any taxes under this act
who will make oath before a justice of the peace that the
taxes claimed, have been paid, or where the person is dead,
if the heir, executor or administrator or assignee will make
oath as aforesaid, that he or she believes the said taxes
have been paid.

CHAPTER 120.

1841.

An act to divorce Rachel Dorsey, of Frederick County,

from her, husband Benjamin Dorsey.

Divorced.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Rachel Dorsey be and she is hereby divorced from
her husband Benjamin Dorsey, a vinculo matrimonii.

CHAPTER 121.

Passed Feb. 23,
1841.

An act to provide for the repairing or rebuilding a cer-
tain Bridge therein mentioned.

Levy money to
rebuild or repair
bridge.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of the tax of Anne
Arundel county, and the levy court of Prince George's
county, are hereby authorised and empowered to assess
and levy a sum of money, not exceeding two hundred dollars,
on the assessable property of their respective counties, at
the time of laying their next county rates, together with
