1958] OF THE SENATE 15

WHEREAS, It would be a great convenience to persons attending
churches in this vicinity on Sundays if the parking lot were open and
available for use on that day; and

WHEREAS, In addition, it also would be most helpful and convenient
if the parking lot were open for the general public use of shoppers
on Saturdays; and

WHEREAS, Since this parking lot was created and is maintained
at public expense, the Board of Public Works should open it on these
two days of the week when it is not otherwise needed to further the
convenience of church-goers, shoppers and merchants in Annapolis;
now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate of Maryland, That the Board of Public
Works be requested to open for public use on Saturdays and Sundays
the State-owned parking lot on the north side of Bladen Street in
Annapolis; and be it further

Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate be instructed to send a
copy of this Resolution to the Board of Public Works.
