MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES
HOUSE OF DELEGATES

ANNAPOLIS, MD., June 13, 1958.

Gentlemen of the Senate:

The House of Delegates, pursuant to the Governor's proclamation,
has met in Special Session and having organized by the election of the
Honorable John C. Luber, Speaker, and Mr. George W. Owings, Jr., Chief
Clerk, is now ready to proceed with the business of the session.

We respectfully propose, with your concurrence, the appointment of
a joint committee of five members, three to be appointed on the part of
the House and two upon the part of the Senate, to wait upon the Governor
and inform him that the General Assembly is now organized and prepared
to receive any communications he may desire to make. We have appointed
on the part of the House, Mesdames Jackson, Brinsfield and Schweinhaut.

By Senator Turnbull:
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your Message notifying the Senate of the organiza-
tion of your Honorable Body, and proposing a joint committee of five
members, three to be appointed on the part of the House and two on the
part of the Senate, to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the
General Assembly is now prepared to receive any communication which
he may desire to make.

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint committee
of five members and have appointed on the part of the Senate, Senators
Nock and Phoebus.
