mission pursuant to this section shall be deposited in the
State treasury, and, unless otherwise prescribed by the au-
thority from which such moneys were received, shall be kept
in separate funds designated according to the purposes for
which the moneys were made available, and held by the State
in trust for such purposes.

AIRPORT ZONING
16. (Airport Zoning. )

(a) (Definitions. ) As used in this section, unless the con-
text otherwise requires:

(1) "Airport" means any area of land or water, or both,
owned, controlled or operated by any political sub-division, or
sub-divisions, designed and set aside for the landing and
taking off of aircraft and used or to be used in the interest of,
or by, the public for such purposes;

(2) "Airport hazard" means any structure, tree or use of
land which interferes with communication between an airport
and aircraft approaching or leaving the same or which ob-
structs the aerial approaches of an airport or which is other-
wise hazardous to its use for landing or taking off of aircraft;

(3) "Aircraft" means any contrivance now known, or here-
after invented, used or designed for navigation of or flight in
the air;

(4) "Political subdivision" means any county or any in-
corporated municipality;

(5) "Person" means any individual, firm, co-partnership,
corporation, company, association, joint stock association or
body politic, and includes any trustee, receiver, committee,
assignee or other similar representative thereof;

(6) "Structure" means any object or thing constructed,
erected, placed or installed above the surface of the ground,
including, but without limitation, buildings, fences, derricks,
hay stacks, poles, wires, towers and smoke-stacks;

(7) "Tree" means any object of natural growth.

(b) (Airport Hazards not in Public Interest. ) It is hereby
found and declared that an airport hazard endangers the lives
and property of users of airports and of occupants of land in
its vicinity, and also in effect reduces the size of the area
available for the landing, taking off and maneuvering of air-
craft, thus tending to destroy or impair the utility of the
airport and the public investment therein, and it is therefore
