case shall be immediately transmitted by the justice or
People's Court of Baltimore City to the Appellate court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 416
(House Bill 667)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Alco-
holic Beverages", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 41A, to follow immediately after Section 41 of said
Article and to be under the sub-title "General Provisions
on Issue of Licenses", restricting the number of alcoholic
beverage licenses which may be issued in Prince George's
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Arti-
cle 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", said new section to be
known as Section 41A, to follow immediately after Section
41 of said Article and to be under the sub-title "General
Provisions on Issue of Licenses", and to read as follows:

41 A. (Prince George's County. ) The number of each class
of alcoholic beverage licenses in Prince George's County shall
be limited to the number of each class of licenses issued and
outstanding, respectively, at the time this Act becomes effec-
tive; provided, that the Board of License Commissioners may
in its discretion issue not more than ten additional licenses
of all classes in the aggregate.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure, and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
being passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
