802 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 330

Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Takoma Park", and Section 1301 of the Prince George's
County Code (1943), being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Takoma Park".

WHEREAS,, the assessment of taxes for ordinary taxation
is now made by the Counties, thereby making this section
unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1195 of the Montgomery County Code
(1947), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Takoma
Park", and Section 1301 of the Prince George's County Code
(1943), being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Prince " George's County", sub-title
Takoma Park", be, and they are, hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 330
(House Bill 138)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
A of Section 965 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), being Sub-section A of
Section 958 of Article 17 of said Code, both as amended
and being also Sub-section A of Section 1198 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1947 Edition)
and being also Sub-section A of Section 1304 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1943 Edi-
tion), authorizing and empowering the Council of the City
of Takoma Park to construct or reconstruct streets, etc., and
assess the cost or any part thereof against the property
benefited and to add one new sub-section to said Section
1198 (1304) said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
1198-1 (1304-1), and to follow immediately after Sub-section
1198H (1304H) of said section and Article, authorizing the
Council of the City of Takoma Park to establish storm
water drainage districts within said City and to construct
within such districts drainage systems and assess the cost
or any part thereof against the property benefited thereby.
