WM. PRESTON LANE, JR., GOVERNOR. 799

WHEREAS, North Avenue, Northwest, in the Fifth Election
District, is less than 30 feet wide but is nevertheless used as
a public highway; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
be and they are hereby authorized to take over and maintain
as a public road North Avenue, Northwest, from Light Street
Road for a distance of approximately 175 feet to the properties
of Mr. Raymond T. Moreland and Mrs. Pauline Utz.

SEC. 1A. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County be and they are hereby
authorized to take over and maintain as a public road a strip
of land, 20 feet wide, and known as the street bed of the
proposed extension of Severnway and being more particularly
described as follows:

Beginning for the same at a point on the corner formed by
the intersection of the southerly side of said proposed 20 foot
wide road with the southeast side of Severnway, sometimes
referred to as Mainway, said point being distant North 43° 32'
East, 10. 48 feet from the northeast corner of Lot 402-W
owned by the Anne Arundel County Sanitary Commission,
and as shown on plat of Pines-On-The-Severn, as filed in the
Anne Arundel County Sanitary Commission Plat Book in the
office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and running thence
with the south side of said proposed 20 foot road, South
75° 06' East, 79. 40 feet to the corner of Lots Nos. 401 and 11
in Block 23; thence South 60° 46' East, 50. 70 feet to an iron
pipe set in concrete on the corner of Lots Nos. 11 and 22;
thence South 40° 43' East, 174. 52 feet to the intersection with
the northerly line of Pointway extended southerly; thence
crossing said proposed 20 foot wide road, North 49° 05' East,
20. 0 feet to the intersection with the said north side of Point-
way; thence running with the northerly side of said proposed
20 foot road, the three following courses and distances: North
40° 43' West, 177. 99 feet; North 60° 46' West, 56. 75 feet, and
North 75° 06' West, 70. 99 feet to the southerly side of Severn-
way; thence crossing said 20 foot road and with the southerly
side of Severnway, South 43° 32' West, 22. 79 feet to the
place of beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.
