the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 69
(Senate Bill 114)
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commis-
sioners of Wicomico and Worcester Counties to place
certain county road employees on a parity with certain
employees of the State Roads Commission with respect
to vacation and sick leave.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Wicomico and Worces-
ter Counties be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to grant to employees working on the county
roads under the supervision of the State Roads Commis-
sion but being carried on the county payroll in all classi-
fications, except hourly paid laborers, the same rights and
privileges regarding vacation and sick leave as the em-
ployees of the State Roads Commission in like classifica-
tions working in the respective counties but carried on
the State payroll.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

(Senate Bill 122)
AN ACT to repeal Section 729 of Article 11 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County, " sub-title "State's Attorney, " said
section relating to the compensation for the State's
Attorney of Frederick County for cases removed to
another county.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 729 of the Local
Laws of Frederick County have been supplanted and made
