SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That sub-subsection (1) of subsection (a) of Section 2
of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-title "Definitions
of Words and Phrases, " be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(1) (Authorized Emergency Vehicles. ) Vehicles of
the fire department, salvage department, police vehicles,
and such ambulances and emergency vehicles of municipal
departments or public service corporations as are desig-
nated or authorized by the Commissioner or the Chief of
Police of an incorporated city. In Frederick County, if
the Chief of Police of an incorporated City shall approve,
also the personal automobile of the captain of a volunteer
fire company who is in charge of the fire company equip-
ment and personnel when such car is en route to, or
engaged in the work of fighting, a fire.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

tion 69 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1947 Supplement), title "Workmen's Compensa-
tion, " sub-title "State Accident Fund, " relating to the
Commissioners of the State Accident Fund.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 69 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Workmen's Compen-
sation, " sub-title "State Accident Fund, " be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
