SECTION 4. And be it further enacted, That the Balti-
more Redevelopment Commission is hereby authorized and
empowered to assign, transfer and convey any and all
right, title and interest which it now has or may hereafter
have in and to any and all property, real, personal and/or
mixed, of every kind, character and description, including
but not limited to, contracts, leases and other legal instru-
ments, moneys and appropriations, to the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, and said municipality is hereby
authorized and empowered to accept the same upon such
terms and conditions as may be agreed upon between the
parties.

SECTION 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 218

(Senate Bill 137)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 430 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County, "
sub-title "Hagerstown, " sub-heading "Pensions, " said
section having been amended by Chapter 266 of the Acts
of 1941, relating to the pensions paid in the Fire Depart-
ment of the City of Hagerstown.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 430 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County, " sub-title "Hagerstown, '' sub-heading "Pensions, "
said section having been amended by Chapter 266 of the
Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

430. (a) Whenever any regular employed driver, tiller
or chauffeur of any of the fire companies which comprise
the Fire Department of Hagerstown shall have reached
the age of 65 years, he shall be retired, and if he shall have
