person on the registry or in registering or failing to erase
the name of any fictitious, deceased or disqualified person,
may at any time, either before or after the last sitting of the
town clerk, but no later than Monday after said last sitting
of the town clerk, file an appeal in the Circuit Court for
Talbot county, in the same manner as is provided in the case
of appeals from the board of registry in the election law of
the State of Maryland. The town clerk shall immediately
make out a true list of all the names which he has erased
from the registry, and post said list in front of the Municipal
Building, and he shall sit at the Municipal Building on the
Monday and Tuesday following the last day of registration
from 7 P. M. to 9 P. M., and shall have there the registry of
voters for the purpose of inspection by any alleged or quali-
fied voter.

SEC. 2. And be- it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 186
(House Bill 435)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
103 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Howard County", sub-title
"County Treasurer", as said section was amended by Chap-
ter 17 of the Acts of 1939, and Chapter 644 of the Acts of
1945, and Chapter 753 of the Acts of 1947, providing for
an increase in the salary of the Clerk to the Treasurer of
said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 103 of Article 14 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard
County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said section was
amended by Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1939, and Chapter 644
of the Acts of 1945, and Chapter 753 of the Acts of 1947, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

103. There is hereby created in the office of the Treasurer
of Howard County the position of Clerk to the Treasurer of
said county, to be appointed by the Treasurer at a salary not
