"Laurel", to be known as Section 879A, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 879, to read as follows:

879A. The Mayor and City Council of Laurel by ordinance
may regulate the use of streets, sidewalks and public property
for signs, sign posts, awnings, posts, poles, steps, railings,
show windows, or for any other private purpose not pro-
hibited by law, and may require a license fee for the exercise
of such special privileges.

SEC. 2. And be> it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 181
(House Bill 353)

AN ACT to extend the limits of the Town of Cottage City,
a municipal corporation, by including therein a part of
Prince George's County contiguous thereto, and for other
purposes.

SECTION 1. Be It enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That there is hereby annexed to the territory of the
Town of Cottage City, all the adjacent and contiguous terri-
tory in Prince George's County described as follows:

Beginning for the same at the intersection of the easterly
right-of-way of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad with Duell-
ing Run; thence in a southwesterly direction along said east-
erly right-of-way of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to the
boundary line of the District of Columbia; thence south-
easterly along said boundary line of the District of Columbia
to the center line of the Washington-Baltimore Boulevard;
thence northeasterly along said center line of the Washington-
Baltimore Boulevard to its intersection with Duelling Run
and thence northwesterly along the meandering of said Duell-
ing Run to the place of beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That except as herein-
after otherwise provided, all the provisions of the Constitution
of Maryland, all laws of the State of Maryland applicable to
the Town of Cottage City which now are in force or may
hereafter be enacted, and all the existing ordinances of the
