AN ACT to repeal Chapter 509 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, 1922 Session, relating to the power
of the Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the
Diocese of Washington to hold property in the Counties
of Charles, Montgomery, Prince George's, and St. Mary's.

WHEREAS,, the aforesaid Chapter 509 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, 1922 Session, is no longer
expedient and is obsolete by virtue of the amendment of Article
38 of the Declaration of Rights of the Constitution of Mary-
land by the adoption of a Constitutional Amendment at the
General Election held on the second day of November, 1948,
as provided by Chapter 623 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, 1947 Session.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 509 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, 1922 Session, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.
