who present themselves. The said Judges shall have power to
administer oaths to all applicants for registration, and any
person who swears falsely before any of said Judges shall be
guilty of the crime of perjury and subject to the penalties pro-
vided by the Code of Public General Election Laws of Mary-
land for such offenses.

8. (a) Biennially, after due notice printed in some county
newspaper having general circulation in the Town and by
posters prominently displayed in each District, the Super-
visors of Election shall appoint two (2) Clerks who shall re-
ceive f5. 00 each for each and every day they may be required
to serve, and conduct an election by ballot on the first Monday
of May, if not a legal holiday, and if a legal holiday, then on
the following day, for the election of the officers provided for
in this Charter. The polls shall be open between the hours
of one and nine p. m. The Judges of Election shall prepare
ballots containing the names of those persons eligible to be-
come candidates for office and designating the offices they seek
and, except as otherwise provided herein, conduct elections
under this Charter as nearly as is practicable as is now, or
hereafter may be, provided for the election of officers for Prince
George's County under the General Election Laws.

(b) The Mayor and Common Council shall receive all returns
of election and determine all cases arising thereunder, except
as otherwise may be provided, and any voter who feels that he
has been aggrieved by any ruling as to the eligibility of his
right to vote may file an appeal to the Circuit Court for
Prince George's County and the same shall be determined by
said Court.

(c) Any qualified person desiring to run for the office
of Mayor or Councilman at Large of said Town shall file,
or there shall be filed in his behalf, with the Supervisors
of Election of said Town a petition containing the re-
quest of at least 25 persons who are qualified voters in the
Town of College Park, and any person desiring to run for
Councilman from a District shall file, or there shall be filed
in his behalf, a petition that said Supervisors of Election con-
taining the names of at least 20 qualified voters in his District,
at least 15 days, including Sundays and legal holidays, prior
to the election. The Supervisors of Election shall cause to be
published, in appropriate manner to give general publicity, the
names of the candidates and the positions to which they aspire.

(d) All the provisions of the Public General Laws of this
State now in force or hereinafter enacted relating to the deter-
mination of elections, providing penalties for illegal registra-
tion, illegal voting, corrupt practices 'and requiring reports of
