SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
remain effective until January 1, 1951, but no longer unless
it shall receive a majority of the votes cast thereon at the
General Election to be held in November 1950. There shall
be printed on the ballot to be used at said General Election
in November, 1950, in the First Election District of Anne
Arundel County the title of this Act and underneath said
title on separate lines, a square or box at the right of and
opposite the words "For Motion Pictures on Sunday", and a
corresponding square or box to the right of and opposite the
words "Against Motion Pictures on Sunday", so that the
voters shall be able to designate by a cross mark in the
proper square or box his or her decision for or against said
question.. If a majority of the votes cast on said question
shall be "For Motion Pictures on Sunday", then this Act
shall continue and remain in force, but if a majority of the
votes cast thereon shall be "Against Motion Pictures on Sun-
day", then this Act shall be null and void and of no effect
whatsoever on and after January 1, 1951.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 147)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 48A of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Cumulative Supplement),
title "Insurance", sub-title "Insurance Department", pro-
viding for the extension of the term of the incumbent
Actuary for a period not exceeding two years immediately
following his attaining the age of retirement.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Cumulative
Supplement), title "Insurance", sub-title "Insurance Depart-
ment", said new section to be known as Section 7A, to follow
immediately after Section 7 thereof and to read as follows:
7A. The Commissioner is hereby authorized to continue in
office the present incumbent Actuary, for a period not exceed-
ing two years immediately following his having attained the
