To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY,, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 49 of the Special Session of the General
Assembly of 1948, was submitted to the voters of St. Mary's
County, for their adoption or rejection under the provisions
thereof, said Act being:
"An Act authorizing the County Commissioners of St.
Mary's County to borrow $350, 000 for the purpose of
erecting and equipping school buildings and building
additions to existing school buildings".
AND i DO CERTIFY,, That at said election 2, 364 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 49 of the Acts of the
Special Session of 1948, and 1, 693 votes were cast against the
adoption of the said Act, and a majority being cast in favor
of the adoption of the said referred law, the Act has there-
fore been ratified by the voters of St. Mary's County.
