To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 23 of the Acts of the Special Session of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1948, was submitted
to the voters of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for their
adoption or rejection under the provisions thereof, said Act
being:

"An Act to add a new Section to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement) making
it lawful to hold or conduct raffles by certain organi-
zations or corporations in Anne Arundel County. "

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 10, 745 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 23 of the 'Acts of
1948, and 3, 286 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act, and a majority being cast in favor of the referred law,
it was therefore ratified by the voters of Anne Arundel
County.
