To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election
held in this State on Tuesday, November 2, 1948, an Act
known as Chapter 883 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1947, was submitted to the voters of Carroll County, Mary-
land for their adoption or rejection under the provisions
thereof, said Act being:

"An Act to add a new section to Article 27 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1943 Supp. ) said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 576AA to authorize the
operation of bowling alleys, tenpin alleys or duckpin
alleys, within the boundaries of Carroll County be-
tween the hours of one to 6 P. M., on Sundays, and to
provide for submission of the question to each Election
District of the said County for their adoption or re-
jection. "
