OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE
STATE OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in
Section 203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, that at an election held
in Funkstown, Washington County, Maryland, May 5, 1947, an
Act known as Chapter 95 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1947, was submitted to the voters of Funkstown for their
adoption or rejection under the provisions of said Act, said
Act being:
An Act authorizing and empowering the Burgess and
Commissioners of Funkstown, to borrow an amount
not exceeding the sum of $25, 000 and to issue and sell
bonds not exceeding the amount of $25, 000, for the
purpose of erecting and constructing a municipal
building.
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 130 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 95 of the Session of 1947,
and 86 votes were cast against the adoption of said Act; a
majority being cast in favor of the adoption of the said
referred law, it has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of
Funkstown.
