annum, but the rate of interest of said bonds may be deter-
mined by competitive bidding, should the County Commis-
sioners, by its order, so provide. They shall be in coupon
form in denominations of One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00),
or any multiple thereof, and may be issued upon the serial
maturity plan as the County Commissioners of Allegany
County may by its order in respect thereto determine.
That all of the bonds authorized by this Act shall, when
issued, be sold in the manner prescribed by Section 35 of
Article 31 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), and any amendments thereto, and any of the proceeds
of said bonds remaining after the acquisition of said sum of
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30, 000. ), shall be applicable to
all expenses in connection with said bond issue and otherwise
be for the use of the County Commissioners of Allegany
County.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That until all of the
Bonds issued under this Act have matured and been paid, the
County Commissioners of Allegany County shall annually
levy a tax upon the assessable property of Allegany County
sufficient to pay the interest on the bonds outstanding and
the principal of the bonds maturing during the succeeding
year.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT designating the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission as the organization in Prince George's County
to contract with the Federal Government in any matters
relating to any projects for flood control and navigation
in the valleys of the Anacostia River and tributaries within
Prince George's County; authorizing the Commissioners of
Prince George's County, the Washington Suburban Sani-
tary Commission and the Maryland National Capital Park
and Planning Commission to issue bonds for financing
said projects and providing for the payment of said bonds
by ad valorem tax; directing the State Roads Commission
to pay its share of the cost of said projects; designating
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission as the
