425. (1) The County Commissioners of Baltimore County
hereafter, when making up their regular annual County levy
are hereby authorized to levy annually on all the assessable
property liable to taxation by said Commissioners such sum
as they may deem necessary and proper, to be expended in
the discretion of said Commissioners for hospitalization of
indigent and destitute bona fide residents of said County.
SEC. 2. And ~be> It further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 366)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
365 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County
(Smith's 1948 Edition), title "Public Works", sub-title
"Sewer and Water" (Towson Sewer System), in order to
authorize the County Commissioners of Baltimore County
to use any surplus funds arising from the collection of
annual charges for the use of sewers in the Towson Sewer-
age Area for the general purposes of the Metropolitan Dis-
trict of Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by tine General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 365 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County (Smith's 1948 Edition), title "Public
Works", sub-title "Sewer and Water" (Towson Sewer Sys-
tem), be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
365. The County Commissioners of Baltimore County may
from time to time establish just and equitable annual charges
for the use of the sewers aforesaid, which shall be paid by
every person who enters his particular sewer or sewerage
drain therein.
The money so received may be applied to the maintenance
or repair of such sewers or of any debt contracted for the
construction, establishment or repair thereof, and any sur-
plus which may have heretofore remained or may hereafter
remain, after reasonable provision therefor, may be applied
by the said Commissioners for maintenance, construction or
any other purposes of the Metropolitan District of Balti-
more County.
