be permitted, upon such terms and conditions as they may
specify from time to time.

336B. (a) The County Commissioners may by resolution
designate as a freeway all or any portion of any County high-
way theretofore laid out, adopted, established and constructed.

(b) When any existing County highway is designated as a
freeway, then

(1) The County Commissioners may by agreement or con-
demnation, restrict or limit the right of any owner of land
abutting the freeway to lay out or construct any new means
of ingress or egress to, from or across such abutting land to
or from the freeway, or to enlarge or extend any existing
means of ingress or egress, and the County Commissioners
may, from time to time, designate points at which access will
be permitted, or permit changes in existing means of access,
upon such terms and conditions as they may specify; and

(2) The County Commissioners may close any existing
means of ingress or egress to, from or across abutting land to
or from the freeway by agreement or condemnation.

336C. For the construction of any freeway or the establish-
ment of any portion of any existing County highway as a
freeway or for any service or feeder roads in connection with
a freeway, the County Commissioners may acquire any real
property or any interest in real property in the same manner
and by the same procedure as such property may now or
hereafter be acquired for highway purposes.

336D. When any highway has been constructed or desig-
nated as a freeway, the County Commissioners

(a) May regulate, restrict or prohibit access to such free-
way from any existing highway, road or street, or from any
new highway, road or street, provided however that reason-
able access to such freeway from any existing or any new
highway, road or street, shall be provided, and

(b) May regulate, restrict or prohibit the use of such free-
way by various classes of vehicles or traffic, provided an alter-
nate route is provided for such restricted or prohibited classes
of vehicles or traffic, and

(c) May maintain, discontinue, abandon or close and exer-
cise all other powers with respect to such freeways to the
same extent and in the same manner as in the case of other
highways.
