CHAPTER 710

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to any gifts, bequests, devises, grants,
sales, leases, conveyances or deeds to and from any persons
and bodies corporate to and for the use of The Convention
of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the State of Mary-
land, The Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church
of the Diocese of Easton, The Convention of the Protestant
Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Washington in the
Counties of Charles, Montgomery, Prince George's, and St.
Mary's, or any of the parishes, separate congregations or
vestries of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the State
of Maryland to which specific consent and sanction may not
have been given prior to the adoption of Article 38 of the
Bill of Bights of the Constitution of Maryland on the second
day of November, 1948, as provided by Chapter 623 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1947 Session.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of said General Assembly
be and the same is hereby declared given and granted to any
gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales, leases, conveyances or
deeds to and from any persons and bodies corporate to and
for the use of The Convention of the Protestant Episcopal
Church of the State of Maryland, The Convention of the
Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Easton, The
Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese
of Washington in the Counties of Charles, Montgomery,
Prince George's and St. Mary's, or any of the parishes,
separate congregations, or vestries of the Protestant Episcopal
Church in the State of Maryland which required the sanction
and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland under the
provisions of Article 38 of the Declaration of Bights of the,
Constitution of Maryland prior to the amendment of said
Article by the adoption of a Constitutional amendment at
the General Election held on the second day of November,
1948, as provided by Chapter 623 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, 1947 Session, which may not have
been specifically sanctioned or consented to by the provisions
of any of the Acts of Assembly heretofore passed giving such
sanction and consent, as required by the provision of said
Article 38 prior to the adoption of said Constitutional amend-
ment on November 2, 1948.
