any such ordinance or resolution apply to any housing
accommodations for which the legal monthly rent is
$125. 00 or more, or to any housing accommodations which
are produced either by conversion or new construction
completed after the effective date of any such ordinance
or resolution.
7. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to
Anne Arundel, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Dorches-
ter, Prince George's, St. Mary's, Talbot, Worcester, Queen
Anne's or Wicomico Counties, or any incorporated towns
therein.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 12 of Article
72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment), title "Oysters and Clams, " sub-title "Private
Oyster Culture, " said new sub-section to be known as
Sub-section (z) and to follow immediately after Sub-
section (y) of said section, relating to riparian rights
with regard to oysters, and exempting Somerset County
from the provisions of this Act.
WHEREAS, the provisions of this section were part of the
former Maryland law known as Section 52 of Article 72
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), and
were inadvertently omitted when the oyster law was re-
codified; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
12 of Article 72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Oysters and Clams, " sub-title "Private
Oyster Culture, " said new sub-section to be known as
Sub-section (z) and to follow immediately after Sub-
section (y) of said section, and to read as follows:
12. (z) If any creek, cove or inlet not exceeding one
hundred yards at low water in breadth at its mouth make
