and shall be required to devote all of their time to the
duties of said office. The said Commissioners shall publish,
in at least one County newspaper having general circulation
in Cecil County, a statement each month showing the ex-
penses of said Commissioners for the preceding month.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 719)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Public Educa-
tion", sub-title "Teachers' Retirement System", said new
section to be known as Section 103A and to follow im-
mediately after Section 103 of said Article, relating to
County contribution to retired teachers in Caroline, Talbot
and Queen Anne7s Counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Public Education", sub-title "Teachers7 Retirement System",
said new section to be known as Section 103A and to follow
immediately after Section 103 of said Article and to read as
follows:
103A. Any public school teacher of Caroline County who
is retired and who is receiving any retirement benefits under
the provisions of this sub-title shall receive an additional sum
as specified in this section. Any such teacher who is receiv-
ing less than $50. 00 per month from retirement payments
under this sub-title shall be paid an additional $20. 00 per
month by the County Commissioners of Caroline County. Any
public school teacher who is receiving an amount between
$50. 00 and $75. 00 per month from retirement payments under
this sub-title shall receive an additional payment of $15. 00
per month. The County Commissioners of Caroline County
are authorized and directed to make the payments as pro-
vided in this section and to levy against the taxable property
for such purpose. In Talbot and Queen Anne7s Counties the
