restrictions against the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sun-
days, appearing elsewhere in this Article, shall not apply to
any licensee holding said Special Class C License.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1,
2 and 7 of Chapter 455 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at its January Session in the year
1947, which authorizes the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County to make general improvements in that
portion of Prince George's County lying within the Mary-
land-Washington Metropolitan District and to borrow
money for that purpose; increasing the amount of money
so authorized to be borrowed and authorizing the County
to issue its general obligation bonds to evidence such in-
creased authorization, said bonds being payable primarily
from ad valorem taxes to be levied in that portion of
Prince George's County lying within the Maryland-Wash-
ington Metropolitan District and secondarily, in the event
of any deficiency in such taxes, from ad valorem taxes
which the County is authorized to levy upon all property
within the county assessed for full county taxation; per-
mitting the expenditure of an additional sum from the
funds so borrowed for lighting equipment for highways;
repealing the power conferred upon the County by Chapter
662 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January Session in the year 1945, to the extent
that such power has not heretofore been exercised.
WHEREAS, by Chapter 662 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at its January Session in the year
1945, the County Commissioners of Prince George's County
was authorized to borrow One Million Dollars ($1, 000, 000. 00)
and evidence such borrowing by the issuance of its bonds
thereunder for general improvements in that portion of the
Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District lying within
Prince George's County, and by Chapter 455 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland passed at its January Session
