CHAPTER 617
(House Bill 666)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
18 (g) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", relating to special club
licenses in Prince George's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 18 (g) of Article 2B of the-Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

18.

(g) (Prince George's County. ) (1) In Prince George's
County such a license may be issued to a bona fide non-profit
organization or club composed solely of members who served
in the armed forces of the United States, in any war in which
the United States has engaged, which organization or club
operates solely for the use of its own members and their
guests when accompanied by such members; provided such
club or organization meets in a clubhouse that is used for no
other purpose.

(2) A Special Class C license shall be issued, upon approval
by the Board of License Commissioners of Prince George's
County, to any country club in said county applying therefor
which has two hundred (200) or more bona fid$ members
paying dues of not less than seventy-five dollars ($75) per
annum per member, which maintains at the time of the appli-
cation for the license two or more lawn tennis courts, a
swimming pool at least 30 feet by 80 feet in size, and a regular
or championship golf course of 18 holes or more. Such a
license shall authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and
to sell at retail any alcoholic beverages, to any customer at
the place described in said license, for consumption on or off
its premises. The annual fee for such a license shall be five
hundred dollars ($500), which shall be paid to said Clerk
before any such license is issued. The application for any
such license filed on behalf of any country club in Prince
George's County shall be signed by at least one officer of such
club, who need not be a resident or registered voter or tax-
payer of Prince George's County. Such license shall be sub-
ject to all the provisions of this Article, except that any
