pledge its faith and credit for any other purpose, under any
authority heretofore or hereafter granted the County by the
General Assembly of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all bonds issued
under the authority of Sections 84 to 99 inclusive, 486 to 537
inclusive, and 559 to 565 inclusive of this Code, and any
guarantee of the payment of the principal of and interest
on any such bonds issued under said sections by the County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County since the effective
date of Chapter 185 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1939 be and the same are hereby validated in
so far as any objection to their validity or the validity of
any guarantee appearing thereon may be made on the basis
of any provision contained in Sections 165 to 185 inclusive
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County
(1947 Edition).

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure, and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
being passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 610

(House Bill 643)

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County to pay a pension to Mrs. William Stub-
bins, widow of William Stubbins, and to Mrs. Norman
Tucker, widow of Norman Tucker.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
be and they are hereby authorized to pay to Mrs. William
Stubbins, widow; of William Stubbins, and to Mrs. Norman
Tucker, widow of Norman Tucker, both former police officers
of the County, a monthly pension of Sixty Dollars ($60. 00)
each per month for a period of not to exceed five (5) years
from the date of this Act,
