lated, any condemnation proceedings shall be instituted
under the general laws of the State of Maryland, and may
from time to time dispose of any property, real, personal
or mixed, or any rights or interest therein, no longer need-
ed for public purposes. The repealing of the former Sec-
tion 227 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, and the enactment of this new section, shall not
be construed as terminating the existence of the corpora-
tion known as "The Mayor and Council of Hagerstown", and
creating a new corporation by the name of "The City of
Hagerstown", but shall be construed as continuing the ex-
istence of the said corporation known as "The Mayor and
Council of Hagerstown", (and changing its name to that of
"The City of Hagerstown".

2. The taxable limits of the City of Hagerstown are
declared to be as follows: Beginning at a stone in the north
marginal line of the County Road leading from the Hagers-
town-Leitersburg Turnpike to Fiddlersburg, said stone be-
ing 1850 feet East of the East marginal line of said Turn-
pike and running thence in a Northeastwardly direction
and at right angles to said North marginal line of said
County Road North 17 degrees 07 1/2 minutes East 400 feet,
thence at right 'angles and in a Northwestwardly direction
North 72 degrees 52 1/2 minutes West, with the same bear-
ing as that of the aforesaid North marginal line of the said
County Road, 1917. 55 feet to the center of the aforesaid
Hagerstown-Leitersburg Turnpike, thence along said Turn-
pike North 10 degrees 41 minutes East 529. 6 feet, thence
leaving said Turnpike and running North 63 degrees 22
minutes West 1497. 1 feet, thence South 31 degrees 15 min-
utes West 797. 68 feet, thence North 72 degrees 52 1/2 min-
utes West 7851. 83 feet, thence at right angles to the above
described second line and running in a Southwestwardly
direction South 17 degrees 07 1/2 minutes West 16, 400 feet,
thence at right angles and running in a Southeastwardly
direction South 72 degrees 52 1/2 minutes East 11, 360 feet
to the East marginal line of the Frederick Road, thence
with the East marginal line of Frederick Road South 13
degrees 54 minutes East 625 feet to an iron pin in the
East marginal line of said Road and on the South side of
a proposed alley, thence along the South marginal line of
said proposed alley South 84 1/2 degrees East 386 feet to an
iron pin at the end of the third line of a deed from John W.
Kennedy and wife to Thomas B. Watts, thence with the
fourth and part of the fifth lines of said deed South 12
degrees East 825 feet and South 13 degrees East 353. 2 feet,
thence South 74 1/2 degrees West 247. 5 feet to the afore-
mentioned Frederick Road, thence along said Road South
